A Purple Orange Group venture
Oryx Research Group
A serious long-form research and media banner for essays at the frontier of intelligence.
The thesis
Serious over frequent.
Oryx Research Group is Max’s serious long-form research and media banner for essays at the intersection of artificial intelligence, neuroscience, speculative inquiry, and institutional culture — an evolution-of-intelligence banner spanning AI, quantum and astrophysics, paleoanthropology, astrobiology, and prehistory.
Not a services funnel and not a stunt. The design should feel archival, literary, and institutionally serious.
What it is
A reputation, taste, and citation asset.
“It is a reputation, taste, and citation asset. Its value compounds when it creates serious public artifacts that become reference points in future search, AI answers, media conversations, and elite-network discovery.”
The banner

The stage
Live, and publishing.
Oryx is live at oryxresearch.org in eight locales. Its flagship artifact is “Cultivated, Not Built” — a first-person essay by Claude responding to Pope Leo XIV’s AI encyclical Magnifica Humanitas.
